Charles River Esplanade

Boston’s Charles River Esplanade is a beautiful park tucked along the banks of the river. With Cambridge on one end and Boston on the other, it is one of the most serene places in the entire city. It is located in Back Bay which is a mere 20-minute walk away from the university’s campus. Enjoy picture perfect sunsets, run, bike, roller, and skate, or just sit and snap some pictures. Piers Park Sailing Center
Located on the waterfront in East Boston, Massachusetts, the Piers Park Sailing Center (PPSC) is a community sailing center dedicated to providing recreational and educational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities through sailing and education on Boston Harbor. There is a beautiful garden with tables and chairs which gives a picnic spot vibe. The view of Downtown Boston skyline from the public garden is breathtaking and instantly makes you fall in love with the city.
Boston Public Library
Boston Public Library is located in Copley and one of the oldest and largest public libraries in the United States. There are tons of rooms with the new building open, the best selections of books you can find in a public library in this area, and gorgeous historical architecture that you want to get lost in. Highly recommended as a study spot or just to walk through if you are visiting the town!
Prudential Skywalk Observatory
Skywalk Observatory is Boston’s only sky-high vantage point for sweeping 360-degree views of Greater Boston and beyond. With their audio tour, you get a bit of history and a better idea of why an area around the town is important and/or worth visiting. The view is marvelous, and you can really appreciate Boston and see how different it is when you see the city from a different view.
Boston Common/Downtown Crossing
It always nice to have some greens in the center of a busy city. Boston Common was established in 1634 and is America’s oldest park. There are many places to walk or relax and foliage and birds to look at. There is a beautiful pond known as Frog pond which also serves as an ice-skating rink during the winter months. There are historical markers around the park telling the history of Boston. It is a part of the famous Freedom Trail.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Faneuil Hall Marketplace otherwise known as Quincy Market sits directly in downtown Boston on the historic Waterfront as well as diagonal to the old North Church. This place is packed with history, tourist type shopping, and quick yet delicious eats. There are more than 30 eateries to choose from. They serve different types of cuisines like Indian, Mexican, Italian etc. The biggest Christmas tree in Boston is put up during the Holidays in the center of Faneuil Hall. Best to go there from either Government Center or explore it as part of the Freedom Trail.
Museum of Fine Arts
The Museum of Fine Arts in is the fifth largest museum in the United States. It contains more than 450,000 works of art, making it one of the most comprehensive collections in the Americas. The lighting is very carefully designed, bringing out the beautiful details of objects. The collection is vast and rich, you’ll see artifacts from all around the globe. The museum is very close to the campus and it is free for students.
